The Road Trip (Jays vs. Mariners)

well, the trip to Seattle has come and gone, and it was awesome. Left me wanting MORE! I definitely want to plan a trip for next Summer.

The ballpark there is amazing. The weather was fantastic. Hanging out with the Boy and his sidekick was fun. 13-14 yr old boys can be quite amusing.

Here are my photo-impressions. I'll leave the commentary for another night...

Road Trip

I will be here on Monday and Tuesday, July 24 and 25:

My FIRST Major League Ballgames!

Seattle Mariners vs Toronto Blue Jays. Go Jays!!

I'm getting soooo excited.

Mr Brown, the Boy, Brownie, and the Boy's friend "Master P" will be attending 2 games. The brownlettes will be staying at home with Cocoa the Dog and Grandpa (Mr Brown's Pop).

I hope to take lots of photos and have a ton of fun and share it with you upon my return.

Cocoa the Dog goes Swimming

Brown, brownlettes and The Boy are at the end of the dock, calling to Cocoa.

NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Nnnuh-nnnuhhh.

She will NOT.

The Boy and Brownie take matters into their own hands. We re-group. We enlist the help of "the leash". Ms C takes photos from onshore.

The Dog Can Swim!!!
Boy walks away wondering if he'll ever wash the bloody remains of this horrible betrayal of his faithful hound off of his mortal hands. Meanwhile, Cocoa heads for shore like a bat outta hell.

And Cocoa's revenge?? Oh my LORD. Brace yourself for that SHAKE!!!!!!

And here's another pic, since Mr Brown was miffed he wasn't in the Canada Day Photo Selections:

Summertime Fun abounds at the Brown household.

Canada Day!

We went down to the Canada Day celebrations for a couple of hours. I encountered...MOUNTIES!!!

It seems to me like many Americans think Mounties are the Face of Canadian Law Enforcement, but it's actually pretty rare you encounter an RCMP officer in their reds.

So I wanted to snap a picture. It seemed very festive, and patriotic and shit. So I positioned myself to take a quick photo, enroute to the line-up for the bouncy castle. And then...

See how he's pointing?? He's pointing AT ME.

He shouts, "YOU! NO! Come over here!"

Brownie is now shaking in her boots (flip-flops, actually) thinking,"HOLY SHIT WHAT DID I DO? Is it against the law to take a photo of a mountie without permission?? What is this post 9-11 world coming to??"

He calls me over. I scurry. He says, pointing beside him, "Stand here. Is that your daughter? Call her over here. This man here will take the picture", he points at the dude in the blue baseball cap with the sunglasses that was standing to the side of him. Dude is taken off-guard too, and scurries to grab my camera from me and do as he is instructed. BY THE RCMP. What else was he gonna do??!

Ms J looks like she is having a mug shot taken. And Ms C looks like she's delerious. Me, I just look like "I'm scared, but I must smile for the camera. This is the opportunity of a lifetime..."
