mayhem

Well! It's moving day tomorrow, the Budget truck is rented for 0800h oh joy oh fuc king bliss, my GOD, I hate moving. ahem. anyhow...

We got the keys to our house Saturday so since then it has been full-out home-improvement-network-type-shit. Wallpaper has come down, paint colours have been chosen and have gone up on the walls (and look spectacular) crappy 70's valences have been torn down, wood-paneling has been painted over....whew! *insert Yahoo smiley. heh.

But, the crunch has come down, and I spent the day packing like a banshee. Okay, wait, I know banshees are known more for their shrieking than their packing, but I bet when they pack, it's....like banshees.

Last night, I was panicking, and thinking "oh shit, I'm feeling overwhelmed, what do I do, what do I do???" and I tried to think of someone I could call to help me pack this place up and I couldn't come up with anyone (see this is the problem when you're so...private, shut-down and basically anti-social), except for one girlfriend who actually lives in Vancouver but she's been in town and was going to the lake Monday. So then, I was thinking, well, she can't help because she's going to the lake, so I went to bed all stressed out and dispondant...and THEN....it pissed down rain. This morning it was socked in, clouds and pissing down and thank you angels of heaven, the phone rang at 11am and my amazing awesome friend called to say " the weather is the shits. I'm not going to the lake. Do you need a hand?" hahahahahaha. DO I? DO I? bring it on, sister.

And so she did. She rocked this packing nightmare like nobody's business. I tell you...I'm indebted to this amazing woman BIGTIME now. She packed ALL the kitchen cupboards, she packed the older brownlette's room, she packed all the laundry room stuff. WOW. and then, she cooked dinner. heh.

I should change one of my kids' names to honour her. or something...

dance recital

holy crap! the dance recital was AWESOME! (it was our first). wowie! so exciting. The girls danced fabulously, littlest brownlette (4) did her best performance ever. Of all the little ones in tutus, she was the one who had it DOWN. Older brownlette (7) did us proud also, but she had done well in rehearsals so that wasn't as surprising. (little brownlette was a bit of a dud in rehearsal. It was pretty touch and go for how things would come out). I do think older brownlette's group was the best of all the girls her age. They danced to "Car Wash". It rocked.

Oh god, they LOVE the whole having hairdos and makeup done. And being with all the older girls, seeing all the costumes. This was no small production!

It was in the main theatre venue in our town...where the symphony plays, and the Western Canada Theatre puts on productions. So, mainstage. Bigtime. I was clapping, shouting Bravo! (mr Brown mocked me, but I put in him in his place in short order. Philistine). It was hugely thrilling all-round. I've ordered the DVD. heh.

tee hee

oh goodness. I'm still laughing my ass off at Sunny's post. Gosh. Such gushing in regards to moi I've never heard. In my whole 36 yrs of life. I'm all worried people (ha! what people!) will think I actually wrote that and hate me because I'm all gushing about myself and shit. heh. But because I'm trying to grow as a person, and not care what other people think (and shit) , I'm leaving it just the way it is.

Lovely font, btw.

Oh, and I'm also scared people (ha! what people?) will brand me as anti-American because of the "self-centred Americans" part. I mean...what with that boy in that school in Pennsylvania trying to blow the place up and all, it's a tense climate out there in Canada/US relations. Isn't it?

Well, I'm going over to my new house now. To take off some hideous 1980's wallpaper and decorative borders and paint over some wood paneling before I have to start living there.

Toodles.

The Beginning

Hi! My name is Brown, and I hail from the great country of Canadia (which is north of the border for most of you self-centered americans). Vancouver is a stone's throw away, but you'd have to have a mighty powerful arm to actually get it there.

My amazing BFF, Sunny set up this account for me, and the subsequent posts and my brilliance are thereby all attributable to this wonderful specimen of a human being. Unfortunately for you fellas, she's already (happily) taken, so you'll have to worship from afar.

Oh, did I mention that I'm also happily taken? I also have three gorgeous children. It stands to reason that they would be fabulous, because I'm Gorgeous with a capitol G, and Divine with a capitol 'Oh, no, concierge, the house champagne is far to gracious, I simply cannot accept this free Crysta.. Ahh, if you insist'.
